THE COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND APPLIED SCIENCE offers the bachelor of science degree in aerospace engineering sciences, architectural engineering, chemical engineering, chemical and biological engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, electrical and computer engineering, environmental engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, applied mathematics, and engineering physics. The first nine of the programs are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET (see www.abet.org). The tenth is accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET. The two remaining programs are applied sciences; accreditation by ABET is not usually sought in these areas. The CU-Boulder campus is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Degrees in applied mathematics and engineering physics are offered in cooperation with the Departments of Applied Mathematics and Physics in the College of Arts and Sciences.
The mission of the College of Engineering and Applied Science is to generate new knowledge in engineering and related fields and to equip students from diverse backgrounds as future leaders and responsible citizens in these fields for the betterment of individuals and society.
