ANTH-4735 (3) Contemporary Cuban Culture: Race, Gender and Power
Investigates global processes as they affect local (Cuban) experience. Draws on texts from anthropology, history, policy, literature, film and music. In the process, students will learn how long-standing patterns regarding race, color, class and gender relations have evolved in(to) the socialist, and now the "post-socialist", context. Same as ANTH 5735. Requisites: Restricted to students with 27-180 credits (Sophomores, Juniors or Seniors) only.
