MUSC-5168 (3) World Music Theories
Examines music rules, concepts or music theories and sociocultural elements that musicians use in creating musical sound, with emphasis on music practices from a variety of world traditions; observing shared and diverging principles, making cross-cultural comparisons and developing a new pedagogy that supports the substantive study of global musics. Same as MUSC 4168. Requisites: Restricted to College of Music (MUSC) graduate students only.
