MUSC-5246 (3) Jazz Improvisation and Analysis
Application of performance skills for the advanced improviser through specific harmonic, melodic and rhythmic techniques. Includes analysis of transcriptions and varied harmonic contexts as well as a focus on the development of repertoire. Offered fall semester of odd-numbered years. Requisites: Requires prerequisite course of MUSC 3071 (minimum grade D-). Restricted to Music (MUSC) graduate students only.
