SPAN-4450 (3) Introduction to Hispanic Linguistics
Introduces students to the main areas of inquiry within the field of Hispanic linguistics. Topics to be covered include speech and language, phonetics and phonology, morphology and syntax, semantics, linguistic change and variation, and Spanish spoken in the United States. Recommended prereq., SPAN 3120 and an additional course above SPAN 3000. Same as SPAN 5450. Requisites: Requires prerequisite course of SPAN 3100 (minimum grade C-).
