Introduction to music notation, meter and rhythm, scales, intervals, triads, seventh chords, fundamentals of harmonic progression, voice leading, aural skills, and composition. For nonmusic majorswho have little or no previous background in the subject. Formerly EMUS 1081. Prerequisites: College of Music (MUSCU) majors are excluded from this course.
