Instruction in experimental techniques of modern organic chemistry emphasizing reactions involving alcohols, ketones, carboxylic acids, and their derivatives. Multistep syntheses are also introduced. Coreq., CHEM 3331 or 3371. Prerequisites: Requires prerequisite courses of CHEM 3311 or 3351, and CHEM 3321 or 3361 (all minimum grade C-).
