Topics include structure and reactions of alkanes, alkenes, alkynes, alkyl halides, and aromatic molecules; nomenclature of organic compounds; stereochemistry; reaction mechanisms and dynamics. Students may receive credit for only one of CHEM 3311 and 3351. Coreq., CHEM 3321 or 3361. Prerequisites: Requires prerequisite course of CHEM 1131 or CHEM 1133/1134 or CHEM 1271 or CHEM 1371 or CHEN 1211/CHEM 1221 (all minimum grade C-).
