Carry out several experiments designed to teach methods of experimentation and data analysis. Experiments taken from solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, thermal science, and materials science. Emphasizes planning an experiment, applying sound procedures, keeping proper records, and communicating results orally and in written reports. Gives students the opportunity to participate in projects that extend over two or more weeks. Prerequisites: Requires prerequisites of ECEN3010 (or ECEN2260) & MCEN2063 (or CVEN3161 or ASEN3112) & MCEN3037 (or APPM4520 or 4570 or CVEN3227 or CHEN3010) & WRTG3030 (or WTRG3035 or HUEN3100 or PHYS3050). Restricted to MCEN majors w/57-180 credits (juniors/seniors).
