EMEN-5005 (3) Introduction to Applied Statistical Methods

Covers foundations for statistical reasoning and statistical applications. Topics include descriptive statistics, introduction to probability, random variables, discrete and continuous probability distributions, sampling theory and sampling distributions, statistical inference (point and interval estimation and hypothesis testing), and simple regression. All material taught is based upon case studies from business and industry. Restricted to students with 57-180 credits (Junior or Senior) or graduate students only. Not for EMP degree credit.
