Participants will understand theoretical and developmental processes associated with reading and writing, methods for teaching elementary reading and writing in a diverse society, and the integration of classroom instruction with the Colorado Academic Content Standards that foster such processes. Restricted to students admitted to the elementary teacher education program. Prerequisites: Restricted to Elementary Education (EDEL) majors only.
