EDUC-4050 (3) Knowing and Learning in Mathematics and Science

Explores essential questions relevant to teaching and learning mathematics and science. This course expands the student's understanding of current theories of learning and conceptual development. Students examine their own assumptions about learning. They critically examine the needs of a diverse student population in the classroom. Prerequisites: Restricted to AMEN, ASTR, BCHM, CHEM, EBIO, GEOL, IPHY, MATH, MCDB, PHYS, Arts and Sciences Open Option majors or College of Engineering majors only.
