Focuses on manifestations of regulated gene expression. Studies gene regulation at multiple steps, including transcription, RNA processing, and translation. Is based on critical analysis of primary research papers. Written assignments and oral presentations are required. Prereq., MCDB 3500 or 3135 or instructor consent. Same as MCDB 5471.
