Students enrolled in this course participate in a previously arranged, department-sponsored cooperative education program with a university, government agency, or industry. This course is offered only through Continuing Education. May be repeated up to 24 total credit hours. Department enforced restriction: 2.75 GPA. Recommended restriction: 3.00 GPA. This course cannot be used to fulfill any of CEAE's degree requirements. Requisites: Restricted to Civil (CVEN), Environmental (EVEN), or Architectural Engineering (AREN) majors only.
Introduces fundamental concepts of sustainability and sustainable development. Special emphasis on understanding the interaction of the built environment with natural systems and the role of technical and non-technical issues in engineering decisions. Open to engineering and non-engineering students. Same as AREN 5700.
